Osei Kagyah

Osei Kagyah is a Ghanaian technologist and technology policy analyst working at the intersection of technology and human society. He is the Assistant lead for Research and Advocacy, Internet Society Ghana,  Strategist for CETA Technologies and the lead for West Africa Youth Internet Governance Forum. With a background that blends technical expertise and civil society advocacy, he researches and writes on digital rights, internet policy, and internet governance. He previously served as Project Lead on Afro-Grids, an initiative examining the relationship between undersea cables, digital infrastructure, and digital colonialism in Africa. He has also worked with Access Now on the #KeepItOn team, where he was at the forefront of efforts to combat internet shutdowns and advance the rights of marginalized communities. 

Osei believes that technology is not an external concept separable from the human condition rather, it is a transformative extension of human beings and our collective will. His work focuses on the potential of technology to address critical development challenges and rewrite global rules on opportunity and access.
