Precious Akplome

Precious Akplome is a seasoned Ghanaian educationist and school leader with over 18 years of progressive experience in teaching, academic coordination and primary school leadership in both national and international schools. She is currently the Head of Primary at École Ronsard, a Cambridge Associate School in Accra, committed to holistic bilingual (French & English) education and global competence development.

She has a Bachelor of Education (Basic Education) and M.Ed (administration in higher institutions) degrees, respectively, from the University of Cape Coast and has advanced her professional training in Montessori Early Childhood Education, showing her strong foundation in child-centred pedagogical approaches and early years development.

She has had a diverse career, serving in many different capacities—from classroom teacher to academic leader to executive director of educational development initiatives. Her professional interests include instructional leadership, mentoring teachers, curriculum implementation and school improvement plans.

Apart from her school-level work, she is the Executive Director of Precious Inspire Organisation, an organisation that is committed to educational advocacy, mentorship and capacity building for educators and young people.

Compassion, reflection and growing together are the cornerstones of her leadership. She is known for her commitment to building inclusive, student-centred learning environments that combine academic excellence with character development. Her work continues to inspire and shape education leadership and improve learning outcomes in the changing educational context of Ghana.

Precious Akplome has extensive experience in delivering professional development to teachers and school leaders through workshops, in-school trainings, and academic forums. She regularly facilitates capacity-building sessions on instructional leadership, curriculum implementation, child-centred pedagogy and school improvement. 

As a school leader, she provides regular professional development for staff and participates in internal and external professional learning programmes which are aligned to international curriculum standards. She has also led educational seminars on practical ways to improve teaching effectiveness and collaborative leadership. She facilitates interactively, practice-based and reflectively using evidence-informed dialogue and immediate classroom applications.
