Jonas Appiah Amponsah

Jonas Appiah Amponsah is a Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Specialist with a multidisciplinary educational background and extensive professional experience spanning mining, construction, freight forwarding and logistics, petroleum consultancy, and education. His academic foundation and cross-sector expertise have equipped him with a holistic perspective on organizational risk, operational excellence, and sustainable performance. Jonas has led transformational initiatives through integrated risk, safety, quality, and management systems that enhance organizational performance, strengthen governance, and deliver lasting value. He is passionate about leveraging data-driven insights, innovation, and stakeholder collaboration to develop practical solutions that improve decision-making and build resilient organizations. Through the design and implementation of occupational safety and health management systems, he has consistently championed continuous improvement, fostering people-centred cultures where safety serves as a strategic enabler of organizational excellence. His contributions have earned both local and international recognition, including the ISOS Duty of Care Award (2026) and two Health, Environment, Safety and Security Awards (2026) for Ghana International School.

I have facilitated numerous training programmes, seminars, and awareness sessions on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) across the mining, construction, freight forwarding and logistics, petroleum consultancy, and education sectors. My experience includes delivering presentations to employees, managers, contractors, and leadership teams on topics such as occupational safety, risk management, emergency preparedness, integrated management systems, and operational excellence. I had the opportunity to deliver a presentation at the 8th TIME Conference at GIS. I regularly facilitate safety committee engagements, organizational awareness campaigns with relevant groups, and capacity-building sessions, using practical examples and interactive discussions to promote learning and drive continuous improvement.
